Human trafficking is the trade in human, most commonly for the purpose of sexual, slavery,ย forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others, or for the extraction ofย organs or tissues including surrogacy and or removal, or for providing a spouse in the context ofย forcedย marriage.
Human trafficking can occur within a country or trans-nationally human trafficking is aย crime against the person because of the violation of the victimโs rights of movement throughย coercion and because of their commercial exploitation. Human trafficking is the trade in peopleย and does not necessarily involves the movement of the person from one place to another. Humanย trafficking represents an estimated 31.6 billion of international trade per annum in 2010. Article three (a) of theย international labor organization (ILO) recognizes human trafficking as one of the worst firms ofย human labor, child trafficking as defined as all forms of slavery, such as sale and trafficking ofย childrenย debtย bondage andย selfdomย ofย childrenย forย the usedย ofย armedย conflicts (UNICEFย 2002).
