CHAPTER ONE

Objective/Purpose Of The Study

The main objective of this study will be to find out the effect of staff welfare on job performance. Specifically the study will aim to :

  1. To observe the relationship between staff welfare and job performance banking sector with particular inferences to First Bank Nigeria Plc.
  2. To give an empirical analysis of what actually motivate workers to performance in their duties.
  3. To examine the relationship between staff welfare and organizational productivity.
  4. To examine how staff welfare affect staff’s emotion at workplace.
  5. To examine the impact of staff welfare on both the staff and the organization herself.
  6. To find out whether good staff welfare package is the best form of motivating staff to perform.

CHAPTER TWO

Literature Review

This chapter will have a review of literature relating to the staff welfare provided by organizations and its impact on the performance of employees mainly based on the financial sector around Abuja. The study will start by examining the needs of employees, the way how they work, their expectation from the organization and the benefit that they are enjoying from the organization. While reviewing related literature, this chapter underscores the employees’ expectation and their satisfaction toward the facility provided by their organization.

 

CHAPTER THREE

Research Methodology

Here we will have various components that define the research methodology applied in the study. It begins by outlining the research design suitable for the study based on the research topic. In choosing the research design, measurability of the variables and the type of data to be collected was highly considered. In addition, the chapter proceeds to inform about the targeted data, sampling process and sample size, process of collecting data and analysis that the study embraced. In the end, highlights on validity and reliability as well as operational definition of variables and presented.

CHAPTER FOUR

Research Design

This study has collected information by interviewing selected staffs of First bank as well as gathers various data from organizations files. The data that will be used in this research is both qualitative as well as quantities. The findings of this research are based upon the primary survey. The data will be collected by formulating a set of questionnaire and the questionnaire shall be distributed to the employees. The questionnaire will be self-administered however looking at the constraint of time some of the questions will be sent through using internet too which will help in findings the data and facts provided by the sampled respondent.

Target population

The target population was all staff working for First Bank PLC in Abuja branch approx. 80.The target population will consist all the organization’s department.

CHAPTER FIVE

Data Analysis

The data obtained as of the research will be analyzed by various tools. Mainly statistical method such as percentage analysis and cross tabulation will be used for the purpose of generating findings will be used. Apart from these analyses in some of the variables, mean, and chi square will be done to make findings of the conducted research. On top of it the recommendation and conclusion will be totally based upon the findings.
